Riporto , in inglese, un po' di descrizioni del bocchino in oggetto :
GW mouthpieces are meticulously handmade using actual high quality, vintage dense rod-rubber stock, right from the shaping of the casting to the precise hand facing to the polished-finish final stage. Your best choice for a truly handcrafted hard rubber mouthpiece. The sound of these mouthpieces does all the talking.
This mouthpiece is based on the last generation of Frank and Ed Meyer's most popular model ever made: the NEW YORK, USA model from the late 1960's. Actual vintage hard rubber castings from the 70's and 80's are used. Labor intensive old world quality. It is engraved GW within a circle on top and 7M to the right of the table. The tip opening measures .081" It has a medium round chamber with gently scooped sidewalls , power ring and slightly concave floor. It plays with a rich, robust tone with excellent response throughout the range of the saxophone as well as the altissimo register. A free blowing mouthpiece. The goal is to provide the quality and playability of the vintage mouthpieces made before corporate takeover changed the products. A soundclip , and review , is available on Steve Neff's website under alto mouthpieces :
