Riporto un'email che ho ricevuto da uno degli importatori americani dei Kanee (da cui ho comprato un po' di roba neglio ultimi tempi) a cui ho chiesto informazione su questi Kanee:
I ordered a half dozen of the Custom "Z" alto mpcs. When I received them and testplayed them, the following was my impression:
- One was an excellent player, comparable to a vintage NY Meyer
- Two were very good players, like a modern Meyer
- Two were mediocre playing mouthpieces
- One was pretty bad.
I sold the excellent playing Custom "Z" for $180
The two very good playing Custom "Z" mouthpieces I have priced at around $100
The two mediocre playing Custom "Z" mouthpieces I have priced at around $50
The worst Custom "Z" I drilled a hole in it and mounted a pickup as an experiment. I will eventually throw it away.
The Kanee mouthpieces are still too inconsistent for me to carry for general sale.
Kane, the owner of Kanee, recently said he got a new CNC machine which will allow them higher accuracy and he would be sending me new samples of the further improved mouthpieces sometime in the future.
The quality has been improving and I feel they will eventually be able to turn out a consistent, high quality product.
Mi pare che il senso sia chiaro...
