AquilaSax.com is a New Zealand owned company, web based and currently operating out of Tianjin China, which is centrally located mid way between Europe, America and Australasia.

AquilaSax is dedicated to enabling you to play sax at a reasonable cost and was especially founded to support C melody saxophone players.

March sees the Factory busy redeveloping the new straight necks to replace the faulty necks on the new C tenor saxes. February was taken out by a public holiday.

The new necks will be sent out free of charge to existing new C sax owners and fitted to the new C Saxes in stock. They will then be sent out to waiting customers. I tested the new neck prototype last week and I believe I detect a fuller richer sound

Development always takes longer than desired and this time is no exception but I am hoping to have them by April and will then order the next batch of new C saxes.

The C soprano interest list is steadily growing and we are up to 60 registrations so far.

I will approach the factory to get some made when we have 100 registrations.

Come ho giÃ* detto in altro spazio, il prezzo è di ca 500-600 €.
Il mio parere è che se c'è l'interesse ad uno strumento in C, sia questa la strada da percorrere se lo si vuol suonare veramente, sfruttando materiali e meccanica moderni, con pezzi di ricambio sempre disponibili.
Il discorso del Vintage è certo più intrigante, per l'emozione che suscita un pezzo di 50-60 anni e più (chissÃ* chi lo avrÃ* suonato!), ma a mio parere è destinato solo al collezionismo. Non tralasciamo i costi che se coninvolto un riparatore, fanno saltare il budget pensato!
